Organisation Support

LAMS, the Learning Activity Management System, is the leading open source education software. Traditionally open source software has not been combined with the support needed to ensure that our customers have the comfort required to confidently deploy LAMS. At LAMS International we have resolved this by offering a range of support services designed to meet your requirements.

The services provided by LAMS International allow you to forget about the support and concentrate on the teaching and learning. Our support consultants have all been involved in the development of LAMS which makes them ideal to support you.

At LAMS International we have designed a range of support packages to meet your organisation's requirements and budget. These have been created to accommodate all types and sizes of organisation from small primary schools to multi-campus universities.

Each package, whether it is Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum, gives you the mix of services to meet your requirements.

Software Access

Once you have downloaded your copy of LAMS from the website, you need to know that you always have the latest version with any patches that may be required. All of the organisations that download the software register with the LAMS Community (www.lamscommunity.org) and take out a service contract will automatically be notified of any update, upgrade or patch. Beyond that, we will provide any scripts required to perform the upgrades and automate any complex database changes or other system level modifications.

We will also advise you about available upgrades to other key components that contribute to the successful functioning of LAMS. This could include advice on new compatible versions of MySQL, JBoss or even the operating system.

Technical Support and Incidence Management

LAMS International can provide the support you need right from when you first try to install LAMS. We can provide you with a range of services to support your organisation and its use of LAMS. These support services include email and telephone support with quick response times. Whether you need general questions answered or obscure technical advice rest assured that our team are able to provide the answers.

All you need to decide is how large your organisation is and what level of support you will require. It is then simply a matter of choosing Bronze, Silver or Gold, or contact us about the Platinum Support Program.

Education Support

Whilst keeping LAMS running on a technical level is important, it's not the whole story. Given the very nature of the application as an eLearning system, it is important that the people responsible for the design and delivery of the lessons, be they teachers or education developers, are properly supported in their use of LAMS. Through our Education Support program we make available a starter pack that includes sample sequences, various software guides, on-line training and in some cases the LAMS Xpress software.

Notes:

  1. All contracts commence once the funds have been received and cleared
  2. Pricing is quoted without any local taxes included. These may be levied depending on location.
  3. If your organisation is domiciled in Australia, a GST amount of 10% will be added to the cost
  4. LAMS is provided with the integration link to the Moodle, Sakai and BlackBoard learning management systems.
  5. Support is currently provided between 8am and 6pm Australian Eastern Standard Time. Other time zones may be supported in due course.
